Our multidisciplinary teams specialise in tech strategy and business innovation, digital solutions and applications, and device and systems engineering. We excel in complex, regulated spaces including health and finance, connecting strategy, tech implementation, and operational services to help clients become more effective, resilient businesses.

If you share our values and want to do the best work, for the right reasons, we can offer you the chance to do it on a global scale and play a real role in shaping our exciting journey.

Important: To ensure a smooth review process, please submit all application documents (CV, cover letter) in English only.

The role

As a Senior IT Consultant in Banking, you act as a trusted advisor at the intersection of business, architecture, and technology. You combine deep Financial Services domain expertise with strong technical and architectural capabilities to design scalable, secure, and regulatory-compliant solutions for leading banking institutions. You translate strategic business objectives into concrete technical concepts, target architectures, and implementation roadmaps, ensuring both technical excellence and measurable business impact. With a strong consulting mindset, you structure complex challenges, engage senior stakeholders, and help shape end-to-end transformation journeys across business and technology landscapes.

How you’ll make impact

Business–Technology Translation

  • Translate complex banking business requirements into technical solution designs and architectural blueprints
  • Develop technical concepts, target architectures, and system landscapes aligned with strategic business objectives
  • Act as a key interface between business stakeholders, IT departments, and delivery teams

Architecture & Technical Design

  • Design scalable, secure, and future-ready IT architectures (e.g. microservices, domain-driven design, API-based ecosystems)
  • Define integration patterns across core banking systems, digital platforms, data layers, and third-party ecosystems
  • Contribute to cloud architecture designs (public or hybrid), DevOps/GitOps setups, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Document architectures using structured approaches such as UML, Arc42, or the C4 model

Transformation & Delivery Governance

  • Take ownership of technical workstreams in complex banking transformation programs
  • Ensure regulatory, security, and compliance requirements are embedded in solution design
  • Support implementation planning, migration strategies, and rollout approaches

Innovation & Modernisation

  • Shape modernization initiatives such as core banking renewal, API enablement, event-driven architectures, and cloud migration
  • Design technical enablers for digital banking products, automation, and data-driven use cases
  • Evaluate technology stacks, tools, and frameworks in alignment with client strategy

What’s important to us

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong Financial Services industry expertise with knowledge in areas such as Retail Banking, Private Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Asset & Wealth Management, or Payments and Lending ecosystems
  • Solid understanding of Financial Services products, processes, and innovation drivers, including lending, investment products, and payment processes
  • End-to-end process knowledge in banking environments (e.g. onboarding, lending, payments) and familiarity with regulatory frameworks and their architectural implications
  • Proven experience designing IT architectures in regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of modern architecture patterns and technologies, including microservices architectures, domain-driven design, API-based ecosystems, and cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid setups)
  • Understanding of integration patterns and event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka) as well as backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Good knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based workflows, as well as security concepts such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and solution-oriented specifications
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across business and IT
  • A strong consulting mindset, high client orientation, and structured problem-solving capabilities
  • Fluent German and English language skills (spoken and written, at least C1)

What we offer

  • Work life blend: we offer a safe & healthy workplace, with flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home

  • Profit share scheme: In addition to your annual salary, you may receive a profit share defined by the company’s success in the previous year
