Job description

Sourcing Manager IT
As a Swedish‑speaking Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in sourcing IT goods and services and shaping our indirect procurement landscape. Your main focus will be on IT Procurement, with opportunities to support other indirect categories such as People & Culture (P&C), Real Estate & Facility Management (REFM) and Consulting Services.

This is a strategic, international role where you collaborate closely with category managers and stakeholders across multiple countries. You influence how we buy IT products and services that support digitalization, innovation and sustainability within Vattenfall.

What makes this role exciting

  • You directly influence the IT landscape of a major European energy company.
  • You work in a diverse, international team with room for ideas and ownership.
  • You help accelerate digital transformation and sustainable procurement practices.
  • You shape supplier strategies that support Vattenfall’s long‑term mission.

Your responsibilities
As a Sourcing Manager IT you will:

  • Manage the end‑to‑end sourcing process for IT products and services, aligned with Vattenfall’s sustainability, digital transformation and business goals.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into actionable sourcing strategies and build strong internal relationships.
  • Conduct market research, identify suitable suppliers and create competitive sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate proposals and negotiate optimal pricing, terms and long‑term value.
  • Prepare and finalize contracts in cooperation with Legal, ensuring full compliance with Vattenfall standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Support long‑term supplier and category strategies in collaboration with category managers.

You know you’re successful when you:

  • Deliver sourcing activities that improve value, reduce risks and enhance supplier performance.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders across countries and functions.
  • Introduce improvements that streamline processes or increase compliance.
  • Contribute to category development, supplier innovation and sustainability goals
