Job description
Welcome to NEURA Robotics, the innovator of the robotics world. Our goal is to equip collaborative robots with groundbreaking cognitive capabilities to enable safe and intuitive collaboration with humans. Under the leadership of founder David Reger, we have spent the first years of NEURA Robotics laying the foundations for humans and robots to work hand in hand.
"We serve humanity" is not just a motto, but our mission. Become part of our ambitious, international company and shape the future of robotics with us.
Welcome to NEURA Robotics - where innovation meets team spirit.
Group Lead Robotics Service & Maintenance - RoboGym (human)
Launch and Shape a RoboGym
NeuraGym is our physical AI training center, where we collaborate with our partners to gather extensive data and teach robots at scale. It serves as the infrastructure where applications are developed for all our robots - from our cognitive robots arm MAiRA to our humanoid 4NE-1 and our service robot MiPA.
As a Group Lead Robotics Service & Maintenance - at NeuraGym your role develop and hold a high bar for a team of Robotics Service/Maintenance Technicians.
Your mission & challenges
- Hire, develop, and hold a high bar for a team of Robotics Service/Maintenance Technicians
- Drive robot uptime as a measurable outcome: plan maintenance schedules, repair workflows, and spare parts inventory so the NeuraGym never stops for preventable reasons
- Be the final technical call on complex assembly issues, recurring faults, and hardware failures — and make sure those decisions are documented and learned from
- Define assembly quality standards and enforce them consistently across every technician and every shift
- Close the loop with engineering: turn recurring field issues into structured, actionable feedback for the mechanical design team
- Build and maintain SOPs, assembly documentation, and onboarding materials that make the team scalable
- Lead technicians on customer site installations and commissioning at trade fairs
What we can look forward to
Must-have
- Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, precision mechanic, mechatronics technician, or similar
- 5+ years in prototype construction or assembly of complex mechanical systems
- 2+ years as team lead, senior technician, or shift supervisor with direct responsibility for others' output
- Deep understanding of mechanical assemblies, actuators, joints, and machine components; confident reading of technical drawings
- Experience in robotics, automation, or special-machine construction
- Strong communicator in German and/or English; able to bridge shop floor and engineering
- Willingness to travel for customer installations and commissioning
Nice-to-have
- Hands-on experience with actuators, gear systems, or mechatronic assemblies
Background writing or improving assembly SOPs and maintenance documentation
Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic topics (e.g., wiring, sensors)
