Job description
Your mission:
- Technical sparring partner for and close collaboration with the Head of on strategic decisions
- Design and implementation of scalable, highly available data architectures, including a technically forward-looking roadmap
- Continuous evaluation of new technologies, software architectures, and market trends in the assigned domain, as well as the development of well-founded recommendations for platform strategy
- Definition and establishment of software architecture, data, and quality standards
- Analysis and optimization of data processing in terms of throughput, latency, and resource efficiency
- Hands-on support in the design and implementation of robust data pipelines for the reliable processing of large amounts of data
- Technical leadership and expert support for the cloud development team in the area of responsibility, as well as teamwork on projects
Your profile:
- More than 10 years of experience in software development, ideally with modern and traditional tech stacks (e.g., Kotlin/PostgreSQL and PHP/MySQL).
- Architecture pioneer: Extensive experience in designing scalable software and data architectures, as well as in building proofs of concept.
- You build it, you own it: Proficient in working with container and cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Data Streaming: Experience processing large volumes of data and real-time data streams (e.g., MQTT, time-series databases).
- Automation: Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation, and high-quality standards in software development.
- High level of personal responsibility and experience as a technical sparring partner for development teams.
- Analytical mindset: You love diving deep into complex structures and have the ability to assess technological trends for their relevance to our data management
