Inbound Team Leader

Job Summary
The Inbound Team Leader at JD.com, Inc. is responsible for supervising and optimizing the daily operations of the inbound logistics team, ensuring efficient receipt, inspection, and processing of goods within our fulfillment centers.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of inbound associates, including performance management, training, and scheduling.
* Oversee the entire inbound process, from receiving and unloading shipments to quality inspection, sorting, and put-away, ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety protocols.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as receiving accuracy, processing time, and inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize space utilization within the inbound area.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including outbound, inventory control, and procurement, to ensure seamless material flow and resolve operational issues.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve any discrepancies in collaboration with inventory control teams.
* Ensure a safe working environment for all team members, enforcing company policies and conducting regular safety briefings.
* Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other internal tools effectively to track inventory, manage tasks, and generate reports.
* Handle and resolve escalated issues related to inbound operations, such as damaged goods, missing shipments, or supplier discrepancies.
* Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts as required.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role within inbound operations.
* Proven experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.
* Strong understanding of inbound logistics processes, including receiving, quality control, put-away, and inventory management.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively motivate and develop a team.
* Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
* Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
