Your mission with us
For our new venture within the FUTRUE Group, we are immediately seeking an
Neural Interface Software Engineer (f/m/d) to develop the leading generation of brain-computer interfaces with us by 2030, redefining the boundaries of medicine.
Our vision: Restoring mobility to the paralyzed, sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and speech to the mute.
Does this sound exciting to you? Then apply now! We look forward to getting to know you.
Your tasks
You will develop the software that turns thoughts into actions and serves as the bridge between implant and patient.
- Develop and implement software for real-time acquisition, preprocessing, and decoding of neural signals, as well as targeted stimulation via our implants.
- Design and optimize decoding algorithms and signal processing pipelines that communicate bidirectionally between brain and device under strict latency and reliability requirements.
- Build the software architecture for our BCI system: from the implant-facing firmware interface through middleware to the application layer.
- Work closely with the hardware teams (chip, electrodes) and clinical partners to adapt the software to real-world requirements and improve patients' quality of life.
Requirements
We are hiring across all experience levels. What matters are exceptional abilities and the drive to push boundaries. This is what sets you apart:
- You are passionate about shaping the next major innovation in the health-tech sector in an environment with fast decision-making processes.
- You have strong foundations in software development and system architecture, as well as a solid understanding of real-time requirements, latency, and resource constraints.
- You are proficient in at least one system-level language (C, C++, Rust) and one higher-level language (Python); additional languages are a plus.
- You have knowledge of digital signal processing and have ideally worked with neural data.
- Experience with embedded software, firmware, or development in regulated environments is a plus.
- You have completed your degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Physics, or a comparable field, ranking among the top of your class.
- You have a strong drive, the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new subject areas and can communicate complex issues concisely.
- You are business-fluent in English or German (min. C1).
