Your mission with us
For our new venture within the FUTRUE Group, we are immediately seeking an
Manufacturing / Microfabrication Engineer (f/m/d) to develop the leading generation of brain-computer interfaces with us by 2030, redefining the boundaries of medicine.
Our vision: Restoring mobility to the paralyzed, sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and speech to the mute.
Does this sound exciting to you? Then apply now! We look forward to getting to know you.
Your tasks
You will develop and manufacture the implantable micro-electrodes of our brain-computer interfaces with us.
- Design and realize the next generation of our multi-channel electrode arrays; define layouts, geometries, and fabrication processes (sputtering, photolithography, etching, etc.) that directly determine the performance of our implant.
- Evaluate and select substrate and conductor materials that ensure safe, long-term-stable implantation in the brain.
- Characterize our electrodes in the lab (impedance spectroscopy, long-term stability), interpret the results, and derive concrete design changes.
- Scale our fabrication from prototypes to reproducible quality.
Requirements
We are hiring across all experience levels. What matters are exceptional abilities and the drive to push boundaries. This is what sets you apart:- You are passionate about shaping the next major innovation in the health-tech sector in an environment with fast decision-making processes.
- You have experience in microfabrication and cleanroom work; ideally with thin-film processing, photolithography, sputtering, RIE, or wet-chemical methods.
- You have knowledge of materials science for implantable systems (e.g., platinum, iridium oxide, PDMS, polyimide, Parylene C) and understand their impact on signal quality and biocompatibility.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and think in end-to-end processes, with the goal of transitioning prototypes into scalable manufacturing.
- You have completed your degree or PhD in Neuroengineering, Microsystems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a comparable field, ranking among the top of your class.
- You have a strong drive, the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new subject areas and can communicate complex matters concisely.
- You are business-fluent in English or German (min. C1).
