Your Mission

  • Strategic Portfolio Management:

    • You act as the primary strategic interface for a portfolio of key brokerage partners, moving relationships from transactional to "preferred partner" status

    • You develop and execute bespoke account plans for major broker partners to maximize retention and growth.

    • You build and maintain high-level relationships with broker principals and directors to align our long-term business goals with theirs.

  • Revenue Generation & Performance Strategy:

    • You own and exceed annual volume, revenue, and "share of wallet" targets within your assigned broker panel.

    • You actively monitor broker pipelines, providing support to ensure high conversion rates from initial submission to final closing.

  • Channel Enablement & Education:

    • You lead workshops, webinars, and technical deep-dives to ensure brokers fully understand our product unique selling points (USPs) and value propositions.

    • You work with Marketing to provide "your" brokers with the tools and sales assets they need to effectively pitch our solutions to their clients.

  • Operational Leadership & Advocacy:

    • You serve as the senior escalation point for high-value or "non-standard" deals, navigating internal departments to find creative solutions.

    • You represent the "Voice of the Broker" in internal meetings to influence our roadmap and service levels.

    • You monitor and ensure that internal service levels (response times, support) meet the expectations of our top-tier partners.

  • Market Intelligence & Compliance:

    • You continuously analyze competitor offerings (rates, technology, commissions) to ensure our value proposition remains market-leading.

    • You provide regular reporting on market shifts and broker sentiment to inform the company's broader commercial strategy.

Your Profile

Minimum requirements for the role

  • Professional Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of experience specifically managing external broker networks or intermediary partnerships (Channel Sales).

    • Proven history of increasing "share of wallet" and achieving revenue targets within an existing partner portfolio.

    • Demonstrated experience managing relationships at the Principal, Owner, or Director level.

    • Deep subject matter expertise within cyber and/ or financial lines.

  • Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in developing and executing formal annual growth plans for high-value partners.

    • High proficiency in delivering technical product training and workshops to large groups (in-person and virtual).

  • Soft Skills

    • Ability to persuade independent partners to prioritize company products over competitors.

    • Experience navigating high-stakes escalations and mediating between internal departments and external partners.

    • Ability to manage a high-volume portfolio by focusing resources on high-yield opportunities rather than reactive tasks.

    • Ability to read partner motivations and adapt communication styles to build long-term trust and loyalty.

  • Language Skills

    • German: business fluent / native

    • English: business fluent

Requirements that give you an edge

  • Prior experience working as a broker, providing deep empathy for the partner's daily challenges.

  • Experience managing or mentoring junior internal account managers or support staff.

  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools used to support broker lead-generation efforts.

  • Experience as a panelist or keynote speaker at industry conferences and trade shows.

  • An existing "Black Book" of high-level contacts within the national or regional brokerage landscape.
