The opportunity
Join AJW Group as a Freight Accounts Administrator and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and control of freight costs across a high-value, time-critical aviation environment. AJW is a world-leading independent specialist in the supply, exchange, maintenance, repair, and lease of commercial and business aircraft components supporting airlines and operators worldwide. This role sits within that global operation, ensuring freight activity is commercially accurate, compliant, and aligned to both supplier and customer agreements.
As a Freight Accounts Administrator, you will take ownership of freight cost control ensuring invoices are accurate, aligned to agreed tariffs, and correctly recharged to customers. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you will help protect margin, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong financial discipline across freight operations.
What you’ll be doing
Manage designated vendor freight accounts, ensuring accuracy and control
Review and process freight invoices in line with agreed tariffs and procedures
Ensure freight costs are correctly recharged to customers where applicable
Investigate and resolve invoice queries with suppliers in a timely manner
Maintain regular review cycles to track and clear outstanding queries
Reconcile vendor statements and ensure alignment with internal records
Escalate issues where required to ensure resolution and compliance
Support continuous improvement of freight processes and controls
About you
Experience in a finance, accounts, or freight/logistics administration role
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in processing invoices and data
Ability to interpret and apply tariffs, pricing structures, and cost controls
Confident communicator able to resolve queries with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and investigate issues
Experience using finance or ERP systems (e.g. invoice processing, reconciliations)
Competent in Excel or similar tools for data handling and tracking
Proactive approach with a focus on ownership and problem-solving
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment
Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate across finance, logistics, and operations
