We, the Compliance team, proactively contribute to the trust that our customers have in Van Lanschot Kempen. We are looking for a Lead Expert within the Compliance Business Conduct team, who will contribute to our Compliance program and keep the framework fit for purpose. Ensuring compliance with subjects such as Trade & Transaction Reporting, Insider Dealing, Conflict of Interest, Employee Conduct & Integrity, etc.
You will have a coordinating role and act as right hand to the team manager of the Business Conduct team. The Lead Expert will assist the team manager with the operational oversight of tasks and responsibilities within the team, deliver specialized expertise to the related Compliance activities, initiate needed changes and offer guidance in complex situations.
Together with the team you will enhance further development of our Compliance processes, systems and procedures to ensure that risks are effectively, but also efficiently managed. Collaboration with all business segments and functions within Van Lanschot Kempen and a harmonized approach are important elements in your role and crucial to contribute to an effective Compliance program.
As Lead Expert you are also responsible for

Compliance advice in cooperation with other officers within and outside the Compliance department, such as with Risk Management, Internal Control and Legal.

Analyzing risks related to financial products and services.

Maintaining policies, frameworks and supporting other teams and business lines for implementation.

Guiding and advising our (international) business units and Compliance officers on the provisions and legal requirements in the related Business Conduct area.

Supporting an efficient and effective implementation of Compliance policies and procedures for Van Lanschot Kempen and ensuring they are kept up-to-date.

Supporting solid training programs to maintain staff awareness regarding specific compliance topics and ensure risk based Compliance monitors and adequate reporting are into place.

Facilitate and contribute to the execution of strategic planning, long-term maturity roadmaps, and support change initiatives, also in the area of AI.

Oversee internal compliance processes, policies, and provide clarity to stakeholders

Contribute to the enhancement of the Compliance Training & Awareness program for all employees, as well as professional education for compliance officers.

Coordinate regulatory change management processes and assist with requests from supervisory authorities, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.

Various other Compliance activities within the Business Conduct team.

You also have

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Compliance and preferably in a banking environment.

An academic background, preferably supplemented with relevant compliance training.

A strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.

The ability to identify complex and/or risky situations from a Business Conduct perspective.

Knowledge about Dutch and European rules- and regulation related to financial services, such as Wft, Bgfo, MAR, MIFID.

Strong mastery of English, both written and spoken.

A gross monthly salary within the VLK-6 level pay scale (P4), commensurate with your knowledge and experience.
