**Position overview: **The Director of Business Development is responsible for developing new business opportunities and relationships with largeand leading companies across multiple verticals/industries/markets, in collaboration with other sales executives and internal teams.
As a Director of Business Development, you'll be expected to:

Develop an excellent understanding of the capability, benefits and competitive advantages of TransPerfect Media's solutions (including services and technology)

Research, map and identify prospective customers and individual organizations

Generate new opportunities via cold calling, campaigns, the Internet, networking and events

In coordination with Sales Management, identify, quality, develop and close sales opportunities
-
Develop existing and new client relationships and promote and educate clients regarding TransPerfect’s solutions
-
Identify and cultivate a partner ecosystem with technology companies, system integrators, and digital agencies
-
Provide customer support and manage client expectations in liaison with Program Management and Client Services

Take an active role in learning about specific industries, their business and technical needs, and specific requirements, to identify new business opportunities

Perform other special projects or duties when required
**Required skills, experience and qualifications: **

Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
-
Minimum 10 years of media sales experience with an established network
-
Strong hunter with a solid understanding of media and technology ecosystems
-
Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Familiarity and ability to communicate value, competitive advantages

Good analytical skills

Willingness to travel
