Ferchau Poland is looking for a Hull Structural Designer to join our team and help bring exciting maritime projects to life.
You'll have the chance to work on basic and/or detailed design, depending on your experience and interests. In this role, you'll be developing structural solutions for modern vessels and contributing to advanced, innovative projects in the shipbuilding industry.

Your area of responsibility

Developing hull structural designs in the scope of basic and/or detailed design, in accordance with construction specifications and classification society requirements

Creating and modifying hull structure plans

Proposing optimal technical solutions based on project documentation, design requirements, and supplier specifications

Collaborating with other engineering departments to ensure coherent and feasible solutions

Preparing high-quality technical drawings, reports, and documentation in compliance with QA/QC standards, project schedules, and contractual obligations

Ensuring that designs comply with classification society requirements and applicable regulations

The right qualifications

Degree in fields such as naval architecture, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines

Commercial experience in ship hull design - we are looking for specialists at all levels of experience

Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one of the following programs: FORAN (currently preferred), NUPAS, NAPA - as our projects are carried out in various design environments

Languages: Polish (native) and English (good command in speaking and writing- minimum B2 level)
Nice to have:
- Experience in preparing classification society documentation
