Electrical Substation Designer MV/HV (m/f/d)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design MV/HV electrical substations for transmission and distribution projects
• Develop primary and secondary electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, general layouts, protection and control schematics, grounding systems, cable routing, and interconnections
• Perform engineering calculations such as short-circuit, load flow, grounding, and equipment sizing
• Prepare complete technical documentation, including specifications, bill of materials, and design reports
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, grid codes, and international standards
• Collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth project delivery

Skills and Qualifications

• BSc/MSc degree in Electrical, Power Engineering or a related discipline
• 2 + years of experience in electrical substation design for MV/HV power systems.
• Strong knowledge of power system engineering and substation equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, etc.)
• Proficiency knowledge of one of following tools: AutoCAD or Ruplan
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, German will be an asset
• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate within multidisciplinary teams
• Open-minded and cooperative working style within a multicultural and international context
