Role Summary The QA Lead will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of a global data platform implementation. This position involves defining and executing test strategies, developing automation frameworks, and supporting cross-functional teams across data, API, and web components. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, integration testing, and Agile environments, with a focus on continuous quality improvement throughout the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies and test plans, including detailed test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data, API, and Web) to define and execute test strategies within an Agile SAFe framework. Design and implement automated testing frameworks using .NET (C#) and Python for functional and regression testing. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines within OpenShift environments to enable continuous testing. Conduct manual and peer testing activities with development teams to validate new features and ensure system integrity. Identify, log, and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring timely tracking, triage, and resolution. Generate detailed test reports, including test coverage, results, defect trends, and recommendations for quality improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine acceptance criteria and ensure testing aligns with business objectives. Support non-functional testing aspects such as performance, security, and data validation as needed. Deliverables Refined and comprehensive test strategy documentation. Well-defined acceptance criteria and peer-reviewed test plans. Automated testing framework and scripts (.NET C# and Python). Manual test execution results and validated defect logs. Continuous testing setup integrated with OpenShift pipelines. Regular test reports and quality dashboards for stakeholders. Required Expertise Experience: 5+ years in software testing with focus on API and web application testing. Automation: Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools using .NET (C#) and Python. Frameworks & Tools: Proficiency in Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent test automation tools. Test Design: Solid understanding of Gherkin syntax and BDD test design. DevOps Integration: Proven experience implementing testing pipelines within OpenShift or other CI/CD environments. Defect Management: Proficiency with JIRA for issue tracking and lifecycle management. Bonus Skills: Knowledge of OpenShift, YAML, and deployment pipelines. Experience with Data Quality testing tools (e.g., Databricks, Unity Catalog). Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong organizational and reporting abilities with attention to detail. Proven ability to work effectively in complex, cross-functional environments. Fluent in English (written and verbal).
