IT Solution Architect for Swedish Defence Customers
Are you seeking a key role where you can influence the future IT architecture of world-leading command and control software solutions? Do you thrive in both hands one interactions and more strategic dialogues with customers and colleagues?
Systematic is a fast-growing and innovative software company with customers in over 50 countries worldwide. Our mission is to develop software products that support users in making tactical decisions in critical situations. Our C4I software suite, SitaWare, is an interoperable digital command and control information system that delivers situational awareness at all levels of command. We are proud to say that the SitaWare Suite is the most widely used C4I suite globally.
You will be part of our Defence Services organisation, joining a specialist unit focused on implementing our Command & Control solutions across the Nordics. The role is based in our Stockholm office, reporting to the Senior Project Manager for the Nordic constellation.
Technical Leadership with a Customer-Facing Role
As our new Solution Architect, you will play a key role in delivering our SitaWare and IRIS software suites to Defence customers in Sweden. You will work closely with our product development teams in Denmark and our Swedish customer, deploying mission-critical systems that simplify decision-making. Your tasks will span solution design, configuration, installation, technical support, training, interoperability, development, and testing.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Taking technical ownership in the design, implementation, and support of solutions
-
Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed scope and timelines
-
Supporting training for system administrators and end-users
-
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, consultants, and colleagues
-
Contributing to pre-sales activities and proposal writing
-
Staying informed about Systematic’s product status to align customer expectations with the product roadmap and maximise value for both customers and our portfolio
-
Some light travel across Northern Europe may be required.
Your profile
As our new Solution Architect, you possess a strong operational insight into the Swedish defence. The branch of service is not critical, but you are able to build respect with our customers through your knowledge of their workflows, you are familiar with military jargon, and you also understand all the underlying and unspoken elements in the dialogue with customers.
You possess a sharp technological profile and can both conceive and implement plans for product development, while also having an in-depth knowledge of their practical applications, which you love to teach and support our customers in.
You have an understanding that the success of our products is deeply dependent on the physical environment in which they are deployed – on the hardware and networks that customers use to run our applications.
You thrive on customer-facing activities, are a natural relationship builder, and you are comfortable switching between practical hands-on activities to ensure customer success with our products, while also being able to take a more long-term and strategic view of our products together with customers and colleagues.
Ideally, you:
-
Hold a relevant technical degree (Bachelor’s or master’s level)
-
Enjoy customer-facing activities such as technical support and presentations, and you build trust easily
-
Are a strong communicator in both Swedish and English
-
Thrive in an agile and dynamic work environment
Furthermore, you probably have experience within some or all the following: tactical communications systems, software development, IT infrastructure, software and system testing and/or test management (e.g. ISTQB), technical training, external customer-facing projects and delivering services and consultancy in the IT sector.
It would also be an advantage if you have a military background from an IT-related role in the Swedish armed forces.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here .
