Your Role
We are looking for an experienced Cash & Payments Operations Expert to strengthen our investment operations within our insurance business.
Your primary focus will be the daily oversight of cash movements, payment workflows, and custodian interactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing across all accounts.
You will take ownership of cash‑related issues, follow up proactively, and work directly with banks and service providers to resolve discrepancies and push for service improvements.
Strong communication skills and the ability to challenge external partners professionally are essential.
As the role evolves, you will also support Fund Operations and Investment Operations, contributing to reconciliations, data validation, and selected NAV‑related controls.
This is a hands‑on operational role requiring expert knowledge, high reliability, and strong attention to detail.
You will:
Cash & Payments — Primary Focus

Oversee daily cash balances, cash movements, and payment instructions (through Swift network or other data flows)

Investigate discrepancies and follow up directly with custodians and other contacts (IT, Third party providers)

Work and deliver effective operational improvements to internal stakeholders

Validate cash data and ensure each user has access to relevant accounts only

Monitor payment completion & workflow integrity – answer queries from Swiss Life teams and external counterparties swiftly and accurately
Fund Operations & Investment Data — Secondary Focus

Support the review of reconciliations (cash, positions, transactions)

Assist in process optimisation and strengthen operational controls

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data issues efficiently

Contribute to monitoring dashboards and reporting improvements
Your Profile

Strong experience in Cash Management, Payments Operations, or Fund Operations

Proven ability to engage with banks and external providers, follow up firmly, and secure improvements

Extremely strong attention to detail and a proactive, accountable working style
-
Business fluency in English is mandatory (daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders), any other European language is a plus
-
Some experience with SWIFT (MT/MX) is desirable, or interest to learn about SWIFT and technical aspects

Good command of Excel, SQL, and dashboard/monitoring tools – or interest to learn about it

Confident communicator, not afraid to ask questions, challenge unclear data, or escalate issues when needed
