Sutherland is currently looking to add a Senior Network Engineer to their team in Bulgaria! This position requires the fundamental understanding of Switching, Routing, and the TCP/IP Stack to include:

Analyzing, monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading of network devices, firewall appliances and other devices.

Assist with designing and implementing large-scale network and Network Security solutions across the data center, campus, wide-area, Wi-Fi, and cloud.

Integrate automation and orchestration in the above designs, use network automation techniques to reduce repetitive workload, and improve project efficiency.

Work with clients to better understand their requirements and develop innovative solutions to address them.

Explore novel approaches to system integration with existing networking technologies. Help to create repeatable processes, detailed documentation, and artifacts that will be used at scale to develop and evolve enterprise technologies.

Work with Engineering teams to define detailed Engineering requirements and system-level design, as well as provide architectural expertise and guidance.

Respond to alerts, events, and customer reported issues within stated service level agreements and escalate problems as required to the engineering team and resolve significant matters exercising independent judgment ensuring that performance standards are met.

Work with cross-functional teams (network, cloud, software, compute) and develop technical activities for customer trials and deployments.
The Senior Network Engineer must be able to support a broad range of solutions that address critical organizational needs, such as enterprise converged networks, IT security (Cisco ASA and Firepower firewalls), VoIP, and telecommunications backbone networks.
The **Senior Network Engineer **must thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. This person will help configure, install, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain global networks. The Senior Network Engineer must be comfortable interfacing with fortune 500 clients. Must be able to travel approximately 10% and work various off shift and weekend hours supporting projects and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Responsibilities:

Configures, tests, and maintains corporate LAN/WAN equipment and related services

Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks

Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations under the direction network director or team lead

Daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration

Travel 10% may be required

Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation. Work weekends and off shift for project and support.
