THE ROLE
The role is key in driving client growth and revenue generation across categories for Sotheby鈥檚 Italy. It combines聽
client development, project management and growth execution, leveraging targeted events, experiences,聽
partnerships and data鈥慸riven initiatives to acquire new clients, deepen existing relationships and unlock聽
incremental revenue opportunities. The role works closely with local Senior Leaders to leverage tailored events,聽
experiences and partnerships to drive client engagement and business outcomes, while supporting the execution聽
of the regional growth strategy for Italy
聽
RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional Strategy and Client Development
Drive client acquisition and development initiatives aligned with Italy鈥檚 cross鈥慶ategory growth priorities,聽
including Modern & Contemporary Art, Jewels, single鈥憃wner collections and Private Sales.
聽Leverage internal client databases to unlock under鈥慳ctivated opportunities and support proactive client聽
outreach.
Support the sourcing pipeline through targeted client engagement initiatives, Private Selling Exhibitions and聽
curated experiences, in close collaboration with Senior Specialists.
Events, Partnerships & Non-Auction Revenue
Design and oversee client鈥慸riven programme of events and experiences, with a clear focus on business impact聽
such as Private Sales, new client acquisition and cross鈥慶ategory opportunities.
聽Lead the activation strategy of Palazzo Serbelloni beyond auctions, supporting growth ambitions in the context聽
of the 12鈥憏ear lease renewal.
Develop and implement non鈥慳uction initiatives generating incremental revenue, including activating the聽
Gallery outside the auction season.
Assess potential opportunities for Private Selling Exhibitions and coordinate their execution, where聽
appropriate.
Build, manage and expand strategic partnerships and collaborations, identifying additional relevant partners聽
aligned with Italy鈥檚 growth objectives.
Leverage key fairs to reinforce local presence, sourcing and client cultivation.
Develop initiatives aimed at engaging the next generation of buyers and emerging collectors.
Client Data & Insights
Exploit client data to expand and deepen the Italian client base, identify new client segments and support聽
proactive outreach strategies.
Work closely with global client strategy teams to ensure alignment, consistency and best-practice sharing.
Track and report on key client-related KPIs, including new client acquisition, client reactivation, Private Sales聽
contribution and non-auction revenue.
Marketing Enablement
Coordinate the local execution of marketing initiatives for Italy, acting as a relay with global and central聽
marketing teams.
Ensure marketing content and campaigns effectively support Italy鈥檚 growth objectives, with a particular focus聽
on Private Sales, events, partnerships and client acquisition

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
This is a growth鈥慸riven and multifaceted role, suited to a hands鈥憃n, experienced professional with ideally 6+ years聽
of relevant experience in revenue growth, client development and project leadership within a high鈥憈ouch, art and聽
luxury, client鈥慶entric environment.
The role requires a high鈥慽mpact, versatile profile able to contribute to regional strategy and priority initiatives, while聽
also driving execution end鈥憈o鈥慹nd. It calls for someone who can operate with a high degree of autonomy and聽
accountability, manage complex projects, and translate initiatives into tangible business outcomes without聽
extensive oversight.

**Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Art or equivalent experience, with expert knowledge of the market. **

Excellent organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Solid understanding of the auction process and budget reporting.

**Fluency in both written and spoken English and Italian; fluency in French or another European language is a **plus.

Ability to work within a demanding environment, with flexibility in managing a diverse range of tasks.
