YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

  • You lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, coaching frontend, backend, and AI engineers to foster ownership, collaboration, and excellence
  • You own the technical direction of distributed service architectures on AWS, guiding the team toward scalable, reliable, and observable systems powered by Java and Python
  • You drive AI-powered customer service into production partnering with Data Science to translate prototypes into reliable, safe, and measurable agentic workflows
  • You guarantee seamless end-to-end consistency across the customer journey, integrating Salesforce Service Cloud, telephony, AI agent capabilities, and human escalation paths
  • You align stakeholders across divisions and collaborate with teams in Bangalore, Munich, and Lisbon to ensure smooth and scalable delivery

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

 

  • Experience You bring proven experience in software engineering leadership managing complex architectures and production systems on AWS
  • Know-how You have strong expertise in distributed system design, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native delivery
  • Skills You are proficient in Java and Python backend engineering and familiar with AI/ML in production, including LLM agents and evaluation pipelines
  • Motivation You champion operational excellence through SLOs, observability, on-call culture, and incident learning
  • Team Spirit You collaborate naturally across functions and international teams, aligning engineers, architects, product owners, data scientists, and business stakeholders
  • Soft Skills You think with a business and product mindset, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
