We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Help build the next generation of AI-enabled applications on SAP BTP

SAP is looking for a Senior Developer (f/m/d) to join the BTP Product Management Regional Implementation Group (RIG), a hands-on team focused on bringing the latest SAP innovations into real customer environments.
In this role, you will work directly with customers across Europe to design and implement production-intent solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform  and emerging AI capabilities. These projects sit at the intersection of engineering, product innovation, and customer collaboration, helping early adopters turn new technologies into working applications.
You will contribute to building AI-enabled applications, intelligent automation solutions, and modern cloud services, while also helping shape SAP’s products through direct feedback from real-world implementations.
If you enjoy hands-on development, working closely with customers, and experimenting with emerging technologies such as AI agents and intelligent workflows, this role offers a unique opportunity to have both technical and product impact.

What you’ll build

  • Work with customers across the EMEA/MEE region to design and implement production-intent solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform . These implementations will focus on AI-enabled applications, custom agents, and intelligent applications on SAP Build and SAP AI Core, and on workflow orchestration using tools such as n8n. Through hands-on development, you will help transform emerging SAP capabilities into real, working solutions for customer use cases.
  • Collaborate closely with your product manager, development architect, and customer technical teams to design and implement solutions using the latest SAP capabilities. This includes translating business requirements into scalable architectures and supporting customers as they adopt new technologies.
  • You will stay current on SAP’s latest product releases and platform capabilities, evaluating their suitability for customer use cases and helping assess architectural approaches, implementation strategies, and technical trade-offs.
  • You will contribute structured product feedback from real customer engagements, partnering with SAP Product Management and Architecture teams to improve product capabilities and the developer experience.
  • You will assist in creating sample implementations, reference architectures, configuration examples, and developer enablement materials that help internal teams and future customers adopt new SAP technologies more easily.

What you bring:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 6+ years of software development experience, including exposure to AI, LLMs, or agentic application development.
  • Strong hands-on development experience in Python, Node.js, or Java, along with familiarity with LLM ecosystems and agent frameworks such as MCP or A2A.
  • Experience building backend services, APIs, workflows, or distributed applications using modern development frameworks. You understand or are eager to deepen your expertise in LLM orchestration, agent tooling, and emerging interaction protocols such as MCP/A2A.
  • Experience collaborating directly with customer developers, architects, and technical leads, contributing to design discussions, troubleshooting issues, and delivering solutions in mixed customer and SAP engineering teams.
  • Strong curiosity and adaptability, with a passion for learning new technologies and experimenting with emerging development patterns, particularly in the AI and automation space.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Most importantly, you are energized by turning ambitious ideas into working software and solving real-world problems through hands-on engineering.

Where you belong:

As part of the BTP Product Management Regional Implementation Group (RIG), you will help bring early-stage SAP innovations into real customer environments.
RIG is a hands-on team within SAP BTP Product Management focused on accelerating the adoption of the latest SAP technologies. We work directly with early adopter customers to design and implement AI-centric scenarios, transforming new product capabilities into real, production-ready solutions.
These engagements validate product innovations in the field, create repeatable reference implementations, and provide valuable product feedback early in the product lifecycle.
