The Logistics Dispatcher plays a important role in the operational performance of the Business Unit Component at Sabena Engineering, located in Haren. He/she contributes directly to lead-time reduction, and overall on-time invoicing and delivery performance. He/she operates daily a forklift and pallet jacks to move items within the store or to load/unload transport vehicles.
Primary Responsibilities:
Inbound & Material Availability

Creates, launches, and follows up on ODMs to ensure timely availability of components, tools, and materials required for shop activities.

Manages priorities in coordination with procurement and planning teams.

Stock & Inventory Control

Ensures accurate stock control of spare parts, including physical stock versus SAP consistency.

Contributes to inventory optimization by identifying excess, obsolete, or critical items.

Supports cycle counts and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.

Spare Parts Preparation
- Coordinates and prepares spare parts for component maintenance and repair activities
Outbound & Component Expedition

Prepares and coordinate outbound shipments of repaired components.

Ensures compliance with quality, airworthiness, and customer requirements (documentation, packaging, traceability).

Follows up on deliveries to secure on-time dispatch and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills:
-
Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, preferably in an aerospace or industrial environment.

Forklift driver’s license is mandatory, C driver’s license is a plus.

Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic shop-floor context.

Good knowledge of SAP (logistics, WIP, stock management); ability to analyze data and translate it into actions.

Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach with strong follow-up skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment.

Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong sense of accountability for operational performance.

Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a strong asset.
