Mission:
Your main mission as HSE Specialist is to guarantee a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment, while promoting employee well-being and a strong safety culture within Sabca.
You will support the HSE team of Sabca Brussels and Sabca Limburg.
Responsabilities:
You assess workplace risks in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, evaluate working conditions, and provide clear, practical advice to improve health and safety ;
Verify compliance with (legal) safety requirements and regulations;
You conduct all necessary analyses, studies, and investigations to continuously enhance well-being, safety, and environmental performance within the organisation ;
You perform and facilitate gemba walks and actively contribute to internal and external audits ;
You investigate incidents and accidents, perform root cause analyses, and ensure effective follow-up of corrective and preventive actions ;
You act as a key point of contact for all HSE-related matters and support the different business units with expert guidance on safety topics ;
You develop and deliver targeted safety trainings and create training materials and HSE awareness campaigns ;
You actively contribute to the implementation and achievement of the annual HSE action plan.
You are responsible for:
Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard;
Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work;
Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support;
Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules;
Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents.
Profile:
Education / Experience:
Education: You hold a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or have a strong technical mindset.
Desired experience:
You have relevant experience in a health and safety–related role ;
You are a certified Prevention Advisor Level 2.
