Who we are
Our goal is a decentralized, flexible, and CO₂-negative energy supply and that’s exactly what we work on every day at Reverion.
We are developing innovative, reversible power plants that can convert gases such as biogas or hydrogen into electricity and heat with very high efficiency, and when needed, reverse the process to transform renewable energy into storable green gases. Reverion power plants achieve efficiencies of up to 80%, making them the most efficient power plants in the world.
Sounds interesting? Join us as (Senior) Systems & Control Engineer (m/f/x)!
Your mission
-
Design, development, and optimization of control strategies (ranging from classical PID controllers to model predictive control)
-
Implementation of the developed algorithms on industrial target platforms, such as Beckhoff PLC systems or custom embedded systems
-
Development of state machines, step chains, and subroutines for fully automated and flexible operation of reversible power plants
-
Modeling and simulation of system behavior (using MATLAB/Simulink) as well as development of digital twins for real-time analysis and continuous performance optimization of the plants
-
Safety-related assessment of control systems and active participation in systematic risk analyses (e.g., HAZOP, FMEA) in collaboration with engineering and electrical teams
-
Definition of system requirements and derivation of technical specifications for hardware and software components, including structured documentation
Your profile
-
You have successfully completed a degree with a focus on process engineering, energy engineering, chemical engineering or a related field
-
You have a deep understanding of thermodynamic and process engineering principles, as well as solid practical experience in the energy sector (or a comparable field)
-
You have a strong ability to translate process engineering expertise directly into automation solutions and to quickly understand complex operational processes
-
You have solid knowledge and hands-on experience with both classical and modern control strategies (e.g., PID, cascade control, model-based approaches) for process optimization
-
You have practical experience in PLC/SPS development (e.g., Beckhoff TwinCAT), working with embedded systems, or industrial IoT technologies
-
Ideally, you have experience in modeling and simulating plant and system behavior (e.g., using MATLAB/Simulink)
-
You are confident using version control systems (Git) and familiar with collaborative work in agile environments (e.g., Scrum)
-
You are fluent in German and have a good command of English (minimum B2 level)
