We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Payment Processing Centre to join our team.

Quipu is the dedicated IT company of the ProCredit group and provides comprehensive end-to-end solutions for all ProCredit institutions, as well as for other banks and financial institutions This includes everything from electronic payment services to software systems, hybrid cloud hosting, and a host of other operations.

A 100% subsidiary of ProCredit Holding, Quipu was established in March 2004 and is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Quipu plays a central role within the ProCredit group, providing a comprehensive range of support services that enable the banks to become competitive and efficient.

Job Summary: 

  

As a Business Development Manager in the Processing Centre division, you are responsible for driving growth across card and digital payment services. Your role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships with Banks and FinTech’s, and expanding the adoption of innovative payment solutions. You work closely with internal teams - product delivery, operations, and compliance - to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to drive business growth and expand the company’s customer base.

  • Generate and qualify leads (financial institutions and fintech’s through strategic outreach and relationship-building to support growth objectives)

  • Client Relationship Management, build strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.

  • Understand client needs and present tailored card payment solutions including Card issuing, ATM Acquiring, POS Acquiring, eCommerce service, and digital payment systems.

  • Partnership Development, negotiate and close commercial agreements with banks, fintechs and service providers.

  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to ensure successful onboarding and integration.

  • Strategy & Planning, analyze market trends, competitor offers, and regulatory changes to refine the go-to-market strategy.

  • Prepare and deliver strategic business presentations and proposals to the Head of Processing centre.

  • Revenue & Performance Tracking, meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.

  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics for management review.

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance and/or Marketing

  • 5+ years of experience in business development in the payments or financial services industry.

  • Deep understanding of card payment ecosystems, card issuing, Digital wallets, POS and ecommerce acquiring, ATM Acquiring, and digital payment platforms.

  • Proficient in Excel and Power point

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experienced in working as part of a team and individually 

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of payment industry regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, EMV, PSD2).

  • Experience working with fintech’s, Payment networks, Processing centers or Banks.

  • Familiarity with APIs and technical integrations in payments processing.
