As a Senior consultant, you will work on transformational projects for clients in the financial sector, especially banks, insurance companies, and investment firms.
About your manager
Adam Kele leads the German Financial Services Transformation Practice within Technology Consulting and brings 15 years of experience in technology strategy, complex program delivery, and system integration and transformation projects across the Central and Eastern European region. Adam is passionate about bridging the IT and business perspectives, bringing a structured yet pragmatic approach to both business and delivery.
Job description & summary
The Payment Specialist supports international consulting projects focused on payments and digital financial solutions for clients primarily in Germany. The role combines business analysis, basic technology understanding, and strong communication skills to contribute to the design and delivery of technology‑enabled solutions in the financial services sector. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders on transformation initiatives for banks, insurance companies, and investment firms, gaining exposure to modern payment platforms, digital finance, and system integrations in a dynamic consulting environment.
Requirements of the Role

Completed university degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable field; candidates with an interdisciplinary background (e.g. business combined with technology, digital transformation, payments, or financial services) are also welcome

At least 3** years of relevant professional experience**, ideally in financial services, consulting, banking, payments, fintech, or a related financial environment

Good understanding of, or strong interest in, technology‑enabled financial services and digital financial solutions

Interest in how business requirements are translated into digital and technical solutions, including areas such as payment platforms, digital banking solutions, APIs and system integrations, automation, and data‑driven financial processes

Ability to structure, analyze, and clearly communicate complex financial and technical topics

Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate in international and cross‑functional teams

Confidence in working with stakeholders across business, finance, and IT

Excellent skills in using tools for collaboration, documentation, and presentations (e.g. MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Experience using German at B2-C1 level and English at C1 level in a professional environment

Proactive, reliable, and structured working style

Willingness to take ownership of tasks and gradually grow into more complex responsibilities

Strong interest in long‑term development within digital financial services, including analytical, coordination, and leadership capabilities

Advantage: experience or knowledge in payments, open finance, embedded finance, transaction banking, digital banking, fintech platforms, financial services regulation or compliance, or project work for banks, fintechs, or large enterprise clients

Business, banking, IT, or process know‑how is considered a plus
