This Position will report to the Mine Maintenance General Foreman.
What You'll Do:

Maintain safe working conditions by identifying hazardous conditions and initiating and/or executing corrective action(s)

Comply with and maintain current knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Company Policies and Procedures, and Rules and Regulations
-
Conduct/manage morning toolbox and monthly safety meetings
-
Support and promote site Safety Programs
-
Lead and support investigations for underground safety incidents and production loss incidents
-
Provide updates to the Mine Maintenance Coordinator, Panel Maintenance Supervisor, and Mine Maintenance General Foreman & Mine Scheduler daily
-
Assigns responsibilities and work assignments for crew following with Mine Maintenance Schedule and Plan

Manages and assigns break in work to support operations and maintenance

Make recommendations for improvement

Maintains good interpersonal relations with unionized workers, maintenance staff & other departments
-
Reviews schedules and provide feedback
-
Coordinate and provide training to employees
-
Manage performance of employees on their maintenance crew
-
Administration work for the crew such as vacation requests, schedule updates, work requests, timecards, JHAs, etc
-
Support Mine Operations and Maintenance as required. of the mine conditions
What You'll Bring:
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an underground mining operation required and relevant schooling combined with experience will also be considered

A Mine supervisor ticket or the ability to attain a supervisory ticket is required

Class A qualification in First Aid

Comfortable working days and nights on shift

Excellent leadership skills

Regular participation in continuous improvement

Ability to use and adapt to the use of new technology

Knowledge of standard office software and ability and willingness to learn site specific software

General knowledge and experience with SAP considered an asset

General knowledge of Potash Operations, an asset

General knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance

General knowledge of mine infrastructure, installation, and maintenance

General knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling
