We are currently looking for a new colleague to join our Prague-based networking team as an L1 Networking Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise environments for international clients such as Swiss Re and Coca-Cola. The position can be a great first step into the IT world; however, it also requires strong technical knowledge, multitasking abilities, resilience under pressure, and a proactive mindset. The team operates in a 24/7 shift environment with 12-hour shifts (approximately 60% day shifts and 40% night shifts), typically followed by 2–3 days off. You will work closely with an international team in an English-only environment with a strong focus on high-quality troubleshooting and customer support. CCNA certification is considered essential for this role and is one of the key technical requirements for successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor client infrastructure and managed networking solutions.

Identify incidents and potential issues before or when they occur.

Perform first-line troubleshooting and incident resolution activities.

Escalate complex incidents when necessary while ensuring proper documentation and handovers.

Provide support to clients via phone, chat, or ticketing systems.

Execute approved maintenance activities, configuration updates, and patching.

Contribute to continuous service improvement, automation opportunities, and knowledge management.

Collaborate effectively within a shift-based international operations team.
Knowledge and Attributes:

Technical Requirements:

Knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and troubleshooting principles.

Experience or familiarity with Cisco technologies, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Meraki, VPNs, routing, and switching.

Understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.

Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

CCNA certification is mandatory and highly valued for this position.

Additional networking certifications are considered an advantage.
Required Experience:

Entry-level experience or internship in networking or IT support.

Basic experience with troubleshooting in enterprise network or data center environments.

Understanding of incident management, monitoring tools, and operational processes.
