Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Web & App Tracking Engineer who specializes in Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Relay 42, and JavaScript to join our growing team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will design and implement detailed tracking plans for web and app platforms, leveraging tools such as Google Tag Manager, Firebase, and Google Analytics. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless and accurate data collection to support analytics and business decision-making. You will work closely with development teams to provide guidance on implementation and ensure the proper setup of tracking mechanisms for both web and mobile applications. Key Responsibilities: 1. Web & App Tracking Implementation Design and execute detailed tracking plans for both web and mobile apps using Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Firebase. Ensure accurate and efficient tracking of user interactions, events, goals, and conversion metrics on web and mobile platforms. Work closely with developers to integrate tracking codes and implement tags for precise data collection. 2. Google Tag Manager (GTM) Configuration Implement and configure Google Tag Manager for websites and mobile applications, including creating custom tags, triggers, and variables. Provide guidance and support for setting up advanced tags and ensure proper configuration of GTM containers. Monitor and troubleshoot GTM implementation to ensure it functions properly and is optimized for performance. 3. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Setup and Integration Configure and manage Google Analytics 4 (GA4) properties for accurate event tracking, user segmentation, and custom reporting. Define custom events, user properties, and conversion goals to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) effectively. Implement cross-platform tracking (web + mobile) to ensure seamless user journey analysis. 4. Data Integration and Reporting Integrate Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Relay 42 with internal systems and data platforms to enable streamlined reporting and analysis. Provide clear documentation on tracking implementations and ensure the accuracy of the data collected for stakeholders. Utilize Google Data Studio to create visualizations and reports that provide valuable insights into user behavior and app performance. 5. Collaboration and Guidance Collaborate with product managers, marketers, and development teams to define tracking requirements and ensure alignment across business objectives. Provide clear implementation guidelines and support to developers to ensure proper deployment of tracking code across platforms. Ensure that tracking meets privacy and data protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). 6. Troubleshooting and Optimization Identify and resolve issues related to tracking tags, data layer, and integrations. Continuously optimize the tracking setup for performance, scalability, and reliability. Monitor analytics platforms to ensure data accuracy and troubleshoot issues promptl Requirements Required Skills & Experience: Google Tag Manager (GTM): Hands-on experience in configuring and managing GTM containers, creating tags, triggers, and variables. Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Solid experience with GA4 setup, custom event tracking, user properties, and reporting. Relay 42: Familiarity with Relay 42 for data integration and analytics. JavaScript: Strong working knowledge of JavaScript for creating custom tags, handling data layers, and troubleshooting technical issues. Firebase: Experience with Firebase Analytics and setting up mobile tracking. Web & App Tracking: Proven track record in implementing tracking strategies for both web and mobile applications.
