General information: - Start date: ASAP - Duration: 24 months renewable - Workload: full time (2 days on site 3 days remote) - Work location: Brussels area, Belgium Description: We are looking for a skilled and proactive Test Officer/Analyst to strengthen our Life Insurance Applications team. You will contribute to delivering high-quality application changes and new products, working under the guidance of a Test Manager/Coordinator. The ideal candidate combines strong testing expertise, analytical thinking, structured delivery, and excellent collaboration skills. Knowledge of test automation or AI-supported testing is a plus. Key Responsibilities • Contribute to System Testing and User Acceptance Testing for Life Insurance application projects (new products, process updates, system evolutions). • Work under the responsibility of a Test Coordinator who oversees planning, analysis, design, execution, and reporting of all test activities. • Translate business and functional requirements into clear, structured test scenarios, ensuring full coverage of new developments and impacts on existing systems. • Prepare and organize test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with the defined test strategy. • Use available tools for test follow-up, reporting, documentation, and traceability. • Execute tests efficiently and rigorously to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes. • Log, track, analyse, and retest defects to guarantee stable and reliable applications. • Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or ambiguities in requirements and proactively raise them with Business Analysts and IT teams. • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, including opportunities for automation or AI-assisted testing. Profile: • Language: English fluent + French fluent OR Dutch fluent • Min. 3 years of professional experience • Proven experience as a Test Officer, Test Analyst, or similar role. • Ability to analyse requirements, assess impacts, and design comprehensive test plan. • Capacity to quickly acquire knowledge of Life Insurance applications and challenge subject-matter experts when needed. • Strong knowledge of application testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. • ISTQB certification (Foundation or higher). • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies. • Interest or experience in modern testing frameworks, test automation and the use of AI in testing (asset) • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder-interaction skills. • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work in a structured, organized, and flexible way to meet challenging deadlines
