Role: Network Engineer – Dutch Speaking Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid: 2–3 days remote) Language Requirement: Fluent Dutch (mandatory) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a freelance engagement supporting enterprise-grade infrastructure. The role involves managing and troubleshooting complex network environments using technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Cisco NAC, and SD-WAN, while following strict change and incident management procedures. Key Responsibilities: Execute network configuration changes and service requests in accordance with customer change management protocols. Perform incident diagnosis and resolution in collaboration with OEM vendors. Develop scripts and automation for network tasks involving LAN, WLAN, Firewall, DNS, and DHCP services. Collaborate with application owners to assess bandwidth requirements for new link implementations. Coordinate with ISPs for deployment of internet and WAN links. Manage iOS upgrades and downgrades on switches, routers, and wireless devices. Support major incident management and deliver root cause analysis reports for critical network issues. Requirements Required Skills and Experience: Fluent in Dutch (mandatory). Proven expertise with: Cisco Meraki, Cisco NAC Fortinet firewalls Palo Alto (preferred) Routing and Switching SD-WAN technologies Strong understanding of enterprise networking, security, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with automation and scripting for routine network operations. Experience with major incident/problem management processes. Preferred Certifications: CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE (preferred but not mandatory)
