As part of our digital transformation journey, we are looking for a Data Engineer who will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and trusted data products supporting Financial Crime Prevention initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of enterprise data and assess its suitability for various internal stakeholders Act as a single point of contact for data consumers, communicating changes and managing enhancement requests Engage with business and IT stakeholders to capture and refine complex data requirements Perform in-depth data analysis to evaluate feasibility, challenge assumptions, and align requirements with available data Translate business needs into clear technical documentation and collaborate with engineering teams to drive delivery within an Agile framework Represent stakeholder needs throughout the data lifecycle, working closely with data acquisition, data modeling, and cross-functional platform teams Support testing activities to ensure delivered data solutions meet business expectations Produce detailed analytical reports to address business queries and support decision-making Leverage statistical methods, programming languages, and visualization tools to perform advanced data analysis and feasibility assessments About the Team You will join the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Data Products Team within GCRG Technology, based in Krakow, Poland. The team’s mission is to build a standardized, comprehensive, and user-friendly suite of data products that support Financial Crime Prevention applications and processes. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and cross-functional platform teams while contributing to a significant digital transformation initiative within the organization. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with a focus on data analysis 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in Big Data environments Strong hands-on experience performing complex data analysis and advanced SQL queries Proficiency in Python, Scala, Spark, and SQL Experience with Big Data and cloud technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Power BI, or equivalent Good understanding of Agile methodologies and incremental delivery models Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships across business and technology teams Excellent analytical, data management, and problem-solving abilities Proactive, flexible, and resilient team player with strong interpersonal skills Strong interest in understanding the business context behind data
