Roles and Responsibilities: Data architect Lead the development and implementation of Platform grounds data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology capabilities. Evangelize data strategy across the platform, championing the value of data and influencing practices through design, documentation, review, and cross-team negotiations to sup-port strategic business and technology goals. Collaborate with Technology Product leadership and business stakeholders to understand data needs, identify architectural gaps, and propose solutions that enhance data accessibility, reliability, and scalability. Facilitate, design and manage robust, scalable data models and architectures to meet our platforms current and long-term data requirements, focusing on efficiency and quality, while aligning on compliance and security requirements. Guide the platform through the ongoing transformation of the data platform and lay foundations of an independent entity that generates, processes and publishes its data on the cloud platform (GCP) in-line with the governance policies and departmental requirements. Establish and enforce data architecture standards and principles, encompassing modelling, metadata, security, reference data, and master data management. Drive continuous improvement of the data platform, including technology stack upgrades, cost optimization, and compliance with evolving requirements. Craft and promote data architecture principles for the Data AI Governance team - take accountability for embedding them in culture and design Continually strive for architectural simplicity. Design and promote canonical assets that serve multiple use cases and drive integration for data and for our business - manage technical debt wisely. Set data modelling standards with the business units and creates data architecture artifacts such as architecture diagrams, data models, design documents, etc. Helping Product owners in identify and evaluate potential data products in multiple value streams and taking the step by step in identification, creation and identification of data products. Required technical competencies: Experience in delivery of data products from conception to marketplace (including design, value case creation, implementation and publication)Deep understanding of modern data services in leading cloud environments, and able to select and assemble data services with maximum cost efficiency while meeting business requirements of speed, continuity, and data integrity. DAMADMBOK certification or equivalent GCP certifications on Data Architecture Experience of building out modern data architectures Experience of Data Governance engineering Continuous Delivery and Agile delivery methodologies Experience with Conceptual and Logical Data Modeling practices Experience of integrating siloed businesses or verticals with diverse data and standards Requirements Technical Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to Data Build Tool (DBT) or other warehouse automation technologies Experience and expertise in data platform design architecture on public cloud platforms, preferably with GCP Experience Strong communicator and stakeholder manageable to explain the technical possibilities and business value. Knowledge of data modeling and architecture best practices. Experience working in Agile Scrum environments8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering.
