WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM As a Product Engineer in STSC, you will play a key technical and operational role in supporting production, project execution, and research & development initiatives. You will work closely with internal engineering teams, production, project teams, and R&D specialists to ensure effective design, testing, and delivery of cables and components. HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT In this role, you will:- Design cables and components according to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Support production, testing, delivery, and installation activities for projects.
- Prepare, review, and verify technical drawings and documentation.
- Coordinate internal interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to as-built documentation and offshore supervision when required.
- Participate in research and development of new technologies and tender activities.
- Perform project work according to Nexans’ project model and best practices, including DIC and IDC activities.
- Conduct relevant technical analyses and contribute to engineering process improvements.
- Train new personnel and support the development of team competencies.
- A university degree in engineering (BSc or higher) - eletrical, mechanical or relevant
- Knowledge of cable and component design and costing.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English, verbal and written.
- Strong communication, analytical, and innovative skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- High sense of quality, punctuality, and on-time performance.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
