We are looking for a
Senior Business Development and Regulatory Expert
who will contribute to the development and realization of business opportunities in line with the MOL Group 2030 strategy and to business case creation and support the development of new, sustainable business project(s). He/she will provide in-depth understanding of actual and planned legislative environment of new businesses.
Your main responsibilities will be:

Monitoring, analyzing and interpreting EU and national regulatory changes affecting new and sustainable businesses (e.g., hydrogen, biogas/biofuels, carbon management, circular economy/plastic recycling) and maintaining divisional regulatory awareness

Exploring funding and subsidy opportunities and managing application processes from the business side

Coordinating internal knowledge sharing, networking, structuring and negotiations with relevant internal and external regulatory stakeholders

Maintaining internal regulatory processes and documentation requirements; ensuring compliance with legal and company rules (Code of Ethics, Conflict of Interest, HSE, Data Protection)

Formulating and representing the New and Sustainable Businesses’ position and strategy on planned EU and national legislation, aligning with support functions and business lines
-
Managing idea and early-stage innovation processes (workshops, viability assessment, requirement definition) and leading early-phase value chain projects (Think, Assess)

Contributing to conceptual business opportunity development and pre–Gate 2 business case creation, including secondary research, competitor benchmarking, due diligence and understanding dependencies with other initiatives

Monitoring industry developments, standards, competitors, expansion opportunities, customers and markets

Preparing regular reports for stakeholders and decision-making bodies; ensuring transparent information flow, proper documentation, administrative compliance and effective stakeholder management to support project success and customer satisfaction
Requirements from our side:
-
MSc in economics or engineering, or legal
-
6+ years of relevant experience
-
Advanced English and Hungarian knowledge is required, Slovakian/Croatian language is an advantage
-
Good knowledge of the downstream processes and value chain, and sustainability related legislative environment
-
Advanced user background of Microsoft Office tools and Microsoft Project or equivalent
-
Experience with EU level and/or governmental institutions is an advantage
-
Category B driver’s license
