Our client, a leading automobile manufacturer, is recruiting for an Automotive Head of Finance to join their business in Spain. Financial Management & Strategic Support Take full responsibility for the overall financial management of company and act as a key member of the management team, providing professional financial support for business decision-making; Develop and implement local financial strategies, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts to support business growth and long-term development; Provide financial analysis, management reporting, profitability analysis, and risk assessments to support strategic and operational decisions. 2. Accounting & Financial Reporting Ensure accounting practices comply with IFRS, Spanish local accounting standards, and (where applicable) PRC accounting standards; Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness; Review and approve local statutory financial statements and management reports, and support group consolidation and reporting requirements; Lead and coordinate with external auditors for annual and special audits. 3. Treasury, Tax & Compliance Management Oversee cash flow management, treasury operations, banking relationships, and financing support; Manage all tax-related matters, including VAT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and other local tax compliance requirements; Act as the finance compliance owner, ensuring all financial and tax activities comply with Spanish and EU laws and regulations; Manage tax audits, inspections, and communications with tax authorities and regulators. 4. Internal Control, Risk & Process Excellence Establish and continuously improve internal control systems to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks; Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and authorization frameworks to ensure compliance and operational efficiency; Drive financial process standardization and system implementation (ERP / financial systems) in coordination with HQ finance and IT teams. 5. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration Build, lead, and develop the local finance team (accounting, treasury, tax, etc.); Allocate responsibilities effectively and enhance team capabilities and productivity; Partner closely with business functions (sales, supply chain, aftersales, etc.) to provide proactive financial support; Serve as the key finance interface between HQ and Spain entity, ensuring smooth communication and alignment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; 5+ years of finance-related experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership or finance head role; Experience in multinational corporations, European subsidiaries, or companies with China HQ background is strongly preferred; Experience in automotive, new energy, manufacturing, or trading companies is a strong plus. Strong expertise in financial management, accounting, taxation, and treasury; In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Spanish local accounting and tax regulations; Strong financial analysis, risk management, and business partnering capabilities; Hands-on experience with ERP systems or group financial platforms; Proven ability to manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external stakeholders.
