This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Head of People in Germany.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the people strategy of a fast-growing, globally distributed organization. You will own the full People function, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a lean and fast-moving environment. Acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, you will help align people strategy with business goals while building scalable systems for talent, performance, and culture. The role requires a builder mindset, strong operational discipline, and a deep understanding of how to support remote-first, international teams. You will also play a key role in embedding AI into people operations to improve efficiency and employee experience. This is an opportunity to directly shape culture, leadership practices, and organizational design at scale.
Accountabilities:
- Own the full People function, including People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Compensation, Culture, and Manager Enablement
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, aligning people strategy with overall business objectives
- Lead workforce planning, talent strategy, and organizational design to support company growth
- Oversee recruiting strategy with a strong focus on quality of hire, long-term fit, and leadership hiring
- Develop and evolve performance frameworks that enable accountability, growth, and manager effectiveness
- Design and manage compensation philosophy, including leveling structures and equity frameworks
- Lead and develop a small People team, ensuring clarity, support, and high-impact execution
- Analyze people data (engagement, attrition, performance) and translate insights into executive-level recommendations
- Drive initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, and belonging across a fully remote global workforce
- Identify and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline HR operations and improve efficiency
- 8–12 years of experience in HR or People leadership roles, including ownership of a People function or major pillar
- Proven experience scaling People operations in companies with 100–500+ employees
- Strong background in building and executing high-impact people programs with measurable outcomes
- Experience working in fully remote, globally distributed organizations
- Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership teams
- Strong data literacy with ability to interpret people metrics and present insights to senior stakeholders and boards
- Hands-on, execution-driven mindset with ability to move quickly from strategy to implementation
- Experience managing global teams across multiple regions and employment models
- Strong communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic decisions in fast-changing environments
- AI-forward mindset with experience applying AI tools in HR or People operations
- Experience in gaming, social platforms, or community-driven products
- Strong track record of building inclusive, diverse, and global workplace cultures
- Familiarity or interest in immersive social platforms or virtual environments
- Fully remote work from anywhere
- Flexible working hours with core collaboration hours
- Stock options
- Unlimited or flexible PTO policy
- Paid parental leave
- Generous holiday schedule
- Health benefits (for eligible regions such as US and Canada)
- Retirement plans (401K in the US, RRSP in Canada)
- Opportunity to shape culture and people strategy at a global scale
- High autonomy and ownership in a fast-moving environment
