This role offers a strategic leadership opportunity for a finance professional ready to take ownership of end-to-end financial operations within a fast-growing e-commerce environment. You will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making at the executive level. Acting as a critical business partner, you will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and performance analysis while ensuring accuracy and transparency across all financial processes. The position combines hands-on accounting leadership with high-level strategic planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. You will also contribute to system optimization and process improvements in a dynamic, remote-first setup. Accountabilities:

• Oversee all financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with standards
• Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and executive-level financial insights
• Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning
• Build financial models and conduct profitability analysis across products, customers, and business segments
• Improve financial systems, ERP integrations, and reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency
• Establish and monitor key financial controls, KPIs, and dashboards to support performance tracking
• Manage compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements while mitigating financial risks
• Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering collaboration and professional growth

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred, MBA is a plus
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including 3–5 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role
• Strong background in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based business environments preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tools
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks Enterprise
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, as well as US tax regulations
• Proven experience managing financial close processes and delivering accurate reporting under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive and cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment aligned with US business hours
