As a Senior Financial Analyst – Global Product Costing, you will be part of the Global Product Costing team based in Utrecht, acting as a key link between the Global Product Costing Manager and a team of analysts. You will play a critical role in coordinating, reviewing, and delivering accurate product cost calculations across the organization, ensuring consistency and quality in COGS reporting.
You will take ownership of end-to-end product costing processes, from calculation and forecasting to analysis and stakeholder communication. In this role, you will combine strong analytical expertise with leadership and cross-functional collaboration, working closely with FP&A, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and senior Finance stakeholders. You will also drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the scalability and efficiency of product costing processes in a global FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Costing & Delivery

Coordinate and guide a team of Global Product Costing Analysts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of total COGS for forecasts and planning cycles (AOP)

Manage the end-to-end product costing process, including assumptions alignment, calculation sequencing, and dependency management

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product cost calculations across markets and categories

Review and validate standard costs, cost calculations, and outputs in SAP
Analysis & Business Partnering

Analyze cost movements, variances, and key drivers, providing clear and actionable insights

Challenge assumptions and improve transparency of cost drivers across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement

Act as a financial sparring partner to FP&A and operational stakeholders

Support and co-present COGS results and insights to senior Finance leadership on a regular basis
Forecasting & Modelling

Lead forecasting and modelling of total company COGS with global scope

Develop and enhance costing models to improve accuracy and business understanding

Support planning cycles, including quarterly forecasts and Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
Automation, Process Improvement & Governance

Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within Product Costing

Standardize costing methodologies, assumptions, and documentation across the organization

Ensure compliance with IFRS inventory valuation and transfer pricing principles

Act as a subject matter expert for Product Costing systems, tools, and processes

Support audit readiness and maintain strong internal controls
Team Coordination & Leadership

Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and technical support to analysts
