This temporary Regional Buyer for External Manufacturing role sits comfortably in the Regional Procurement Team for Europe. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a Regional Buyer for External Manufacturing you will be asked to provide hands-on management of External Manufacturers for categories as Coffee and Tea, including identifying extra capacity when required. This role is responsible for an annual spend
of over €25 million. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

Hands on management of External Manufacturers across Europe, building strong relationships to deliver cost & cash benefit

Drive strategy execution, including implementation of tenders, suppliers selection, materials and specs across JDE Peet`s sales units

Collaborate with suppliers on a day-to-day basis to operate

Define and implement a clear risk management plan

Deliver against ESG targets (eg. Sedex, pre-defined CO2 emission reductions).

Support the development of sourcing strategies and collaborate with the Global Strategic Sourcing Team

Identify and deliver value chain optimization opportunities which ultimately leads to competitive advantage and revenue generating opportunities.

Keep oversight over set of contracts within category and ensures contract compliance considering payments terms, prices, discounts & rebates and performance in close collaboration with business

Build and manage relationships at all levels of an organisation both internally and external

Ensure compliance to internal policies & procedures and has a deep understanding of and manage compliance to the Combined Business Model.
