Join us as a Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in September 2026. In this role, you will focus on packaging regulations, with an emphasis on both sustainability and food contact materials. Your primary objective will be to scout for the latest developments and trends in these areas, analyse emerging regulatory requirements, and formalise findings to help update company policies and guidelines. You will work closely with different stakeholders within R&D such as food safety, regulatory, packaging etc., team to assess current packaging practices, identify gaps, and contribute to the creation of globally aligned and up-to-date protocols for packaging safety and sustainability. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in regulatory affairs, sustainability, and food safety, while supporting our commitment to quality and innovation in packaging.
Your key activities will be:

Conduct a literature review on best practices for packaging guidelines to enhance sustainability and safety.

Support the development of standardised templates, decision trees, and risk assessment tools tailored to packaging design processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company requirements and relevant certification standards for sustainable and safe packaging.

Support the creation of training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate the global rollout and adoption of the standardised digital packaging guidelines programme.
