The Nurse provides nursing expertise within the multi-disciplinary team to educate, manage, support, stabilise patients. The Nurse will ensure Patient wellbeing, assess health needs, develop, implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer, and record medication according to the medical orders and monitor for side effects along with changes in patient’s condition. Obtain and record vital signs and monitor for changes in patient’s condition. Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. The implementation of medical treatment, prescription as advised by the Doctor.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance of medical records for all patients

Collect and review patient history and physical

Evaluate patients by collecting current symptoms, as well as a detailed patient history

Consult and coordinate with the health team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

Responsible for maintaining the standard of care

Promote communication between doctors and patients regarding test results and treatment recommendations

Make logical decisions in emergency scenarios based on patient conditions such as vital signs, patient presentation, and assessments

Administrative registration of the patients when required

Maintain knowledge and operational state of the medical software, in relation with the Health Manager and IT Manager

Evaluate, plan, and implement patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members, radiologists, laboratory technicians, pharmacists, and medical doctors

Obtain patient urine samples, blood samples, and change dressings according to prescription

Perform ECG and other investigation tests according to prescription

Administer medications to patients by mouth, intramuscularly, intravenously, topically, or via nebulization according to prescription, whilst monitoring for untoward reactions

Provide bedside care for a variety of medical patients

Placement of urinary catheter, intravenous catheter, nasogastric catheter, and patient monitoring, according to prescription

Collaborate with the healthcare team during the discharge process

Maintain a safe, clean environment for the patient in the office entry and the hospital unit

Provide emotional support to patients and relatives
