This role is positioned within an Agile delivery model, acting as a key enabler of Production readiness across the full project lifecycle.
The Application Production Support (APS) professional is responsible for ensuring that production, infrastructure, resilience, security, and operability requirements are fully integrated from design through deployment and run phases.
The role plays a critical part in:

Supporting development teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions
The APS actively participates in project ceremonies, technical decision forums, and risk assessments, working closely with Development, Infrastructure, Security, and Production Support teams. The role also promotes and disseminates best practices in application production across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Solution Definition

Contribute to the definition of end鈥憈o鈥慹nd technical solutions, ensuring alignment with production, infrastructure, and security requirements

Promote the reuse of existing platforms, tools, and services to reduce delivery time and increase reliability

Anticipate and manage compliance with architectural standards, security policies, scalability, and performance requirements
Integration of Production & Infrastructure Requirements

Ensure infrastructure, operability, and production requirements are clearly reflected in the Product Backlog
-
Define and implement technical user stories related to industrialization, automation, monitoring, and obsolescence management

Support and advise development teams to secure and accelerate project delivery
Application Production Best Practices

Raise awareness and promote application production best practices within Agile teams

Train and support team members in the effective use of DevOps and Agile tools

Act as a reference point for production readiness and operational excellence
Deployment & Environment Management

Facilitate solution deployments across Production and Non鈥慞roduction environments

Ensure environments meet operational standards (performance, backup/restore, access, data availability)

Coordinate security reviews and validate access traceability (OS, storage, network, etc.)

Identify operational risks or blocking issues and propose mitigation or action plans
Service Monitoring & Operational Stability

Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and supervision for production services

Contribute to the definition of SLAs, KPIs, and production indicators

Ensure documentation (installation, operating procedures, recovery plans) is up to date and validated

Ensure disaster recovery and failover plans exist, are tested, and maintained
-
Provide support during incidents and release鈥憆elated issues, ensuring resolution within SLA
Continuous Improvement

Drive continuous improvement initiatives (automation, performance optimization, reliability)

Propose enhancements to production and infrastructure services

Share best practices across teams and organizational units

Contribute to initiatives such as Infrastructure / DMZ as Code
