As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key technical role in developing high-precision mechanical systems from concept through series production. You will contribute deep mechanical expertise, take ownership of complex design topics, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure technically robust, manufacturable, and innovative solutions.
This role emphasizes hands-on engineering, technical decision-making, and end-to-end responsibility for mechanical designs in challenging projects.
-
Design and develop high-precision mechanical systems from concept, detail design, and validation through series production
-
Take technical ownership of mechanical components and assemblies, including calculations, simulations, tolerancing, and documentation
-
Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications with a focus on quality, robustness, and manufacturability
-
Collaborate closely with production, procurement, suppliers, quality, integration, electronics, and service teams
-
Support industrialization and ensure smooth transfer from development to manufacturing
-
Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments (e.g. FMEA), and validation activities
-
Apply and further develop design standards, best practices, and lessons learned
-
Act as a technical mentor and sparring partner for other engineers, sharing expertise and supporting technical growth
-
Evaluate and introduce new technologies, materials, and design approaches to improve performance and reliability
