My responsibilities:

Own and enforce quality standards—because good data should be accurate and trustworthy (customers notice)

Run the daily show: plan and prioritize workloads, allocate workforce capacity, and keep the team moving without creating chaos

Continuously develop the team through coaching, training, and clear feedback (you’ll help people level up—systematically, not accidentally)

Support hiring and onboarding: participate in selection and help train new recruits so the ramp-up is smooth and fast
-
Manage performance to ensure productivity goals and expectations are consistently met

Review performance reporting to spot weak points early and turn insights into action (not just dashboards)

Drive continuous improvement to hit annual KPI and SLA targets—improvement is the job, not an extra

Handle critical situations calmly and effectively, using clear communication to unblock stakeholders and protect delivery

Work daily with partner departments, coordinating across the business to keep delivery aligned end-to-end
-
Collaborate daily with stakeholders and customers, ensuring communication stays proactive and expectations stay realistic
-
Responsible for excellent delivery of the service/product within the department—making sure the quality doesn’t drop when things get busy
The knowledge I own:
-
At least 5 years of experience operating a service or product, ideally as a Data Engineer, Tech Lead, Product Owner, or similar role with a strong focus on data-related themes

At least 2 years of people management experience—you can lead day-to-day, not just “manage the calendar”

Deep understanding of Agile (must); knowledge of other methodologies is a plus (Kanban, ITIL, etc.)

Strong reporting and decision-preparation capabilities—you translate data into next steps people can act on
-
Experience in a fast-paced environment, where priorities shift and you still keep quality and delivery on track

Superior organizational skills, with an operational mindset that prevents issues instead of chasing them
