Global Strategic Business Developer (F/H)
Role Overview :
The Global Strategic Business Developer is responsible for developing a select number of mega customer global hierarchies with 10+ mCHF net sales to deliver objectives as defined by the long-term customer strategy. They are responsible for defining the account development strategy, implementing global account standards to drive direct business impact, influencing international strategic decision makers, identifying needs of the selected customers, and owning the coordination and communication within the organization supported by the other MR functions and the surrounding organization.
What you'll do :
- Acts as the primary contact and negotiator for assigned key accounts to include large international accounts, mega accounts, and complex international conglomerates.
- In charge of developing relationships with customer executive and operational leadership teams to support alignment of Hilti’s value proposition with effective execution of the customer’s strategic initiatives.
- Creates account and project penetration strategies and action plans based on prioritizing opportunities, determining the required resources, and understanding the decision making and internal influencing dynamics.
- Coordinates dynamic internal communication program to optimize awareness, scalability, and execution of relevant business development initiatives, best practices, local development plans and related topics.
- Develops and/or scales account standard business and master specifications by coordinating corporate and field team members across multiple account coverage areas.
- Builds rapport with Hilti senior leadership team and relevant functions and leverages them, when necessary, to connect with related account stakeholders and accelerate business development.
- Contributes to and is accountable for profitable sales development (direct and indirect), long term relationship build-up, and execution of account strategy by working on tailored commercial and technical solutions.
- Negotiates, coordinates, implements, and scales enterprise agreements aimed at increasing share of wallet, improving overall account profitability, and optimizing customer experience (CX) throughout coverage areas.
- Examines economic, industry, and market trends and conditions that impact the company, and develop strategies to take full advantage of market conditions.
- Consistently leverages Salesforce and relevant internal platforms for reporting, account and daily planning, managing sales pipelines, internal collaboration, and conducting activities relevant to customer development.
What you'll bring :
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred in technical or business-related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in business development or technical sales, Marketing Management, SAAS, and/or construction industry experience is a plus.
- Minimum five years of Hilti relevant experience, required; Hilti sales leadership and key account development, preferred.
- Up to 50% international travel required; candidate must have experience in a multicultural work environment and be fluent in English and in the local languages where the target customers have key presence.
- Long term, strategic position: candidate must be willing to stay in role for 5+ years.
- In addition, experience on construction projects within EPCs, Engineering Consultants, or general contractors is preferred.
- Demonstrated business administration experience forecasting, budget, planning etc.
- Demonstrated work experience in international English-speaking environment; excellent communication and presentation skills required.
