About the Role
As Program Manager Maintenance, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all maintenance and lifecycle activities for automotive infotainment customer programs within the CAM VW organization.
You ensure stable product performance after SOP by managing changes, issue resolution, and continuous improvements across hardware, software, and system scope.
Working closely with internal stakeholders (SW, HW, components, manufacturing, quality) as well as customers and suppliers, you protect program stability, cost, and timing while ensuring transparent communication and reporting to program leadership and management.
What You Will Do

Own and drive end-to-end maintenance activities for automotive infotainment programs in series production.

Act as the main interface to the customer for all maintenance-related topics (issues, changes, improvements).

Plan and coordinate software updates, hardware changes, and product improvements across cross-functional teams.

Ensure timely resolution of field issues, including root cause tracking and corrective actions.

Manage and prioritize change requests (ECRs/ECOs) in alignment with customer and internal stakeholders.

Coordinate release planning and deployment of maintenance updates.

Ensure alignment of maintenance activities with production, supply chain, and quality requirements.

Assess impact of changes and issues on cost, timing, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Manage risks, issues, and escalations within the maintenance phase.

Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, quality standards, and internal processes during lifecycle support.

Provide transparent status reporting on maintenance activities, issues, and KPIs.

Track activities and documentation in relevant tools (e.g. Teamcenter, JIRA).

Drive continuous improvement based on field data, lessons learned, and customer feedback.What You Need to Be Successful

University degree in Engineering (Electrical, IT, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline) or comparable qualification.

4+ years of experience in program management, project coordination, or a comparable role in an automotive or technology environment.

Hands-on experience in Sample Management, Engineering Hardware, benches, or industrialization support is highly preferred.

Good understanding of automotive development and industrialization processes.

Experience in certification of headunit projects

Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style with strong coordination skills.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.

Experience in customer communication and presentation

Fluent in Romanian and English (written and spoken).
**Bonus Points if You Have **

Basic knowledge of PMI methodologies, Automotive SPICE, or IATF 16949.

Initial experience with VW Group programs or customers.

Familiarity with program management tools and reporting systems.
