About the Role
New opportunity within our large Engineering organization for a Test Engineer as part of a new opening position in Connectivity Test Center. This role will be part of a new team based in Bucharest which will work closely with the wider team. This is a newly formed team. Our goal is to build out our Connectivity Test Coordinating team operating from our strategic site in Bucharest providing experienced and dynamic team members to support multiple roles across our portfolio of global projects. This is an extremely exciting time to get involved, to help develop and shape innovative technology and drive change throughout the organization.
What You Will Do

Identify and log SW defects on the platform through Structured, Exploratory, and Regression Testing.

Review, analyze, and understand system requirements specifications and create manual test cases, by using the appropriate test design techniques
-
Test case maintenance in compliance with software evolution, requirements, and traceability tracking
-
Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and other activities in the framework of an Agile/Scrum development process
-
Detailed analysis of reported problems, bug analysis, bug verification, and tracking.

Perform regular reviews and conduct retrospection meetings to achieve high-quality results.

Independently handle both vehicle testing and bench testing requests
-
Collaborate with various test teams to improvise and evolve existing test strategies.

Identify, plan, and perform manual and automated software testing. Perform session-based exploratory testing.

Identify, plan, and perform endurance-based testing or life testing to verify functionality over a long period of ignition cycles.

Identify software issues and transfers problem issues into the issue tracking system with supporting log files and data.

Record, process, and analyze data with PC-based tools and test instrumentation.

Participate in internal, external and customer test drives. Provide technical support for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental issues on an as-needed basis.

What You Need to be Successful

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other similar specialization
-
7+ years Testing experience
-
Good understanding of Embedded System and Automotive Products
-
Good understanding of Automotive Infotainment systems
-
Understand the SW and HW architecture of various platform variants
-
Good understanding of the technical aspects of a wide range of equipment, including computers, software, and hardware
-
Good knowledge and understanding of the different Telematics domains like OTA, GNSS, E-Call, 4G/5G Connectivity, Wifi
-
Good knowledge of Diagnose protocols UDS, SOVD
-
Good experience in system test methods, procchoose, error management and tools
-
Familiar with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and database administration tools
-
Knowledge of standard industry communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet etc
-
Experience with data analysis, logs, tracing
-
Team player skills with a “can do” attitude
-
Understanding about diagnosis topics of a vehicle and about diagnostic communication protocols used in electronic control units

Knowledge of the V-model software development process

ISTQB Certification and ASPICE knowledge

Programming knowledge is a plus
