Greenvolt Power Spain is looking for a BESS Developer who will be responsible for identifying, developing, and structuring energy storage projects (BESS) in Spain, from origination to ready-to-build stage. The role ensures Greenvolt Power expands its storage pipeline strategically, financially sound, and in compliance with local regulations.
**Key accountabilities

Experience in techno-economic modelling of energy storage projects, including system sizing, operational simulations, and investment-grade reporting.

In-depth understanding of EU and US BESS revenue frameworks, market dynamics, and value-stacking strategies.

Strong knowledge of Capacity Markets, Ancillary Services, and Continuous Trading Markets.

Active support to development teams in the technical and commercial assessment of new opportunities.

Contribution to the design, development, and ongoing management of analytical and financial modelling tools.

Hands-on experience with industry-standard modelling platforms such as SAM, HOMER, and MATLAB toolboxes.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Environment, Geography, Management, or related field

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy or BESS project development.

Experience in permitting, grid access processes, and feasibility assessments.

Knowledge of the Spanish energy market and BESS regulatory framework.

Strong analytical and project management skills.

Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.

Proactive, autonomous, and capable of managing multiple projects.

Negotiation skills with external stakeholders.

GIS tools knowledge (preferred).

Interest in emerging storage technologies and flexibility markets.
