The Ministry of Social Services requires a Resource Supervisor in Child and Family Services in the Prince Albert office. Under the Authority of The Child and Family Services Act and The Adoption Act, you will supervise, manage and implement programs designed to provide protective, preventative and support services to children and their families utilizing the Family Centered Case Management Model of Practice.
Your responsibilities will include supervision, training, support and coaching of resource staff; monitoring the quality of care practice; and leading and assisting in managing change within work units and the region. You will be an active member of the supervisory team, demonstrating a supervisory style exemplified by respect and empowerment in order to encourage employees to achieve success and ensure information and service delivery within work units and with partner agencies in the community.
You will also provide leadership on the implementation of policies, procedures, services, and community resources; work effectively and positively with supervisors, colleagues, and the regional management team to support regional directions to continuously improve or enhance service delivery. You will also effectively manage and monitor allocated work unit budgets and approve expenditures; liaise and consult with ICFS Agencies; and represent the unit, Ministry or region on various agency, community, or internal committees. The successful candidate will be approachable in order to support staff and be accountable in order to promote a workplace that is responsive to both staff and corporate needs.
To qualify for this position, you will possess聽a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work degree from an accredited university as approved by the CASSW, combined with previous supervisory experience in Child and Family Programs.
You will be required to work flexible hours and travel.
