The Housing Division, in the Ministry of Social Services, is seeking an experienced self-starter who is passionate about delivering client-centered programs for the position of Portfolio Management Consultant, Homelessness Services. This position works directly with community partners to support the delivery of programs that have a direct impact on the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Saskatchewan.聽 聽聽聽聽
Who We Are
The Housing Division, through the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC), provides a range of social and affordable housing programs and support services across the province. Housing proudly partners with Indigenous and community-based organizations, other levels of government, and the SHC housing authority network to deliver successful housing initiatives, programs, and support services to people who could not otherwise afford or access adequate, safe, and secure shelter. Housing also plays a lead role in developing housing policies on behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan and in managing social housing-related investments from the provincial, federal, and municipal levels of government.
The Homelessness Services branch is responsible for the delivery of programs, funding, and contract management with emergency shelter services, supportive housing providers, outreach services, and other programs. The branch works directly with service providers and other partners to deliver homelessness services and leads the development, implementation, and delivery of homelessness programs for the province.聽

What You鈥檒l Do
Reporting to the Manager, Homelessness Services, you will oversee a portfolio of service and lease agreements with agencies throughout the province.聽 聽
This position will:

Provide expert program delivery and property management advice to non-profit housing organizations, municipalities, government agencies, and program sponsors to ensure strong and successful operations.

Manage contract compliance by monitoring standards and processes for service contracts, leases, funding partnerships, and reporting for the service providers you are responsible for.

Develop and manage database systems used for service operations reporting, tracking, and analyzing.

Lead and develop meetings, training sessions, and workshops while providing coaching that persuades, convinces, builds support, and promotes understanding at a level and with sensitivity appropriate to the audience.

Collaborate with service providers, stakeholders, the community-based sector, other levels of government and ministries to implement government priorities on homelessness.聽
Typically, the skills, knowledge, and experience required for this position will be obtained by the completion of a human services degree or a related field of study, combined with progressive experience working directly with housing-related service providers and their clients.聽聽
This position requires travel and will be required to work flexible hours, which sometimes may include evenings. A valid driver's license is required.聽 聽聽
